It’s that time once again hip hop fans, it’s the yr. in review, the 08’ edition (AKA the yr of the Phoenix).

Possibly the biggest yr. for hip hop since the early 90’s, I know some of y’ll don’t agree with a lot of my choices stop reading if this is you cause I’m just gonna keep pissing you off intentionally. Let’s go!!!

Big ups!!!

1)      Barack Obama – the first almost all black president (come on some of y’ll was thinking it)

2)      George W. bush – The laughable clown (come on Bush pardoned John Fortee, and is talking about pardoning Mike Vick that’s worth something)

The Real

1)      Nas – Nigger/Nas/Untitled in what many may call the crown jewel in this yrs. Hip hop come back it was the Highest selling album this yr….what ? what do you mean he barely went gold? What?!!! Little Wayne went What? WTF!!! This may be the greatest injustice.

2)      Scarface – Emeritus what better way to close out the yr. and a stellar rapping career?

3)      Slaughterhouse – fuck it that’s all I have to say if you don’t know you should be ashamed

4)      Common – Universal Mind Control no this is not a remake of Electric Circus it’s better much better

5)      Heltah Skeltah – Dirt The return of one of the crazier/Hardcore rap duo’s

6)      Little Brother – (between them they dropped 4 cds/albums) Continued to be slept on

The Fake

1)      Little Wayne – Carter 4 come on people it’s time to admit he did not go 2x plat by himself, in the industry that’s called label platinum, there is no way on god’s green earth that he could sell that many albums in 2 weeks and Nas moved 300,000 in 2 weeks? I know y’ll like but you just hating to hate on Wayne no not even if I saw any skill at all I’d give him props but have you actually listened to A Millie?

2)      Young Berg  - you get the gas face, you don’t like dark skinned ladies? You could at least say it’s not your preference but to come out your face to say you don’t deal with them, you don’t like them is stupid. Oh yeah you got played Trick Trick is running your chain.

3)      Soulja boy – I can’t even manage the amount of rage it would take to fully demoralize dude. If this is what u listen to shame on you.

4)      Jim jones, Jewelz Santana, Ron Browns – Pop Champagne has any seen this video? (Shouts to Shauno for putting me on to this vid) them niggas is gay. How you gonna spray a dude down with Champagne and he gonna just smile and laugh fuck it I’m adding a link for this so you can be the judge http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jZmntdzFBY

5)      Interscope Records – how do you fuck up the best rap label assembled since the early days of Def jam? Simple you cut Busta Rhymes, Joell Ortiz, Raekwon, Stat Quo. Good business move Interscope (to artist up and comers and established a like leave them labels alone!!!)

6)      VH1’s 100 greatest hip hop songs list. Ok first of your hearts was in the right place, but that list was not. It was a shame and sham. Y’ll need to do better.
